Modernising IT infrastructure using cloud at the University of Greenwich

The University of Greenwich have recently chosen CoreAzure to deliver a cloud migration programme that will see the majority of IT services transition to Microsoft Azure over a three-year period.

CoreAzure worked closely with the university to develop the business case which was primarily focused on service improvement and sustainability, highlighting important financial savings related to reduced power consumption and the freeing up of valuable real estate.

“From the outset CoreAzure used their considerable experience of successfully transitioning universities to the cloud to demonstrate how the use of the Microsoft cloud platform could positively impact our IT services. Improving agility, improving cyber protection and our carbon footprint by decreasing our campus data centre capacity are key objectives of our improvement programme. At the end of the project, we will have a modern, secure IT infrastructure capable of delivering a wide range of innovative digital services to our students and staff.”

Michael Cooper - Head of Infrastructure
